Policies & Regulations

We have two big rules. Have lots of fun and be safe.

Deposits & Cancellation Policy:

  • A $100 deposit is required to hold dates.

  • All children 12 & under are required to wear a USCG approved life-jacket. We provide appropriately sized vests.

  • Cancellation within 48 hours (very hard to find a replacement on short notice) of sailing date will forfeit deposits.

  • Charters canceled “By Captain” due to weather, ocean conditions or for any other reason beyond the Captain's control will be rescheduled. If rescheduling cannot be done due to time, weather or schedule constraints, deposits will be refunded.

  • Rain is not a valid reason to cancel a charter.

Thunderstorms present a challenge.  We DO NOT fish in thunderstorms. The first step is to avoid by changing location. The second step is to seek shelter and wait for the storm to pass and then resume fishing. We will delay the start of the trip or end the trip early if necessary and pro-rate the trip.

Payment

  • Payment in full is expected at the end of the trip. Cash is preferred. We can accept checks, credit cards (except AMEX), debit cards that are tied to Visa or Mastercard, Venmo and PayPal.

The passenger limit is 6

  • Federal regulations limit this type of vessel to 6 passengers.

The Captain faces up to a $30,000 fine and the suspension of license for violating this regulation. We will gladly refer you to a “headboat” that is authorized to carry more than 6 passengers.

We follow all State and Federal fishery regulations.

Drugs and Alcohol

  • Due to being federally regulated, drugs that are illegal under federal law are not allowed on board.

  • For alcohol, just use common sense. You are on a moving vessel
